Jeff Morris was born on October 6, 1982 in New Jersey and has lived in Berwyn, PA for 13 years with his parents, Rosanne and Chad, and his older sister, Julie.
While a student at Hillside School in 1991, Jeff joined Cub Scout Pack #112 led by Mr. Ted Moxon. After earning his Arrow of Light, Jeff crossed over and joined Devon 50 in June, 1993 under Scoutmaster James Dunn. He joined Fox Patrol with Brian Copeland as Patrol Leader and later Wolf Patrol with Patrol Leader Dave Haerland. Jeff served as Assistant Patrol Leader, Wolf Patrol in 1996-1997, and Patrol Leader in 1997-1998 when Wolf Patrol won Best Patrol for wreath sales. He has made the $1000 Club for wreath sales four years in a row and was Top Experienced Salesman in 1998. Jeff received the E. H. Richardson Leadership award in 1997 and attended Junior Leadership Training. He received the Little Cup Award in 1998 for Patrol with the highest score in the Interpatrol Skills Contest.
During his years with Devon 50, Jeff has enjoyed many exciting scouting trips and activities including white water rafting on the Ohiopyle River, caving in West Virginia, the mystery trips to Stowe, Vermont and Kittyhawk, the ski trips and deep sea fishing off the coast of New Jersey. He was elected to the Order of the Arrow in 1997 and is currently a Brotherhood Member. He has attended every summer camp at Camp Horseshoe since 1993, and has served as Quartermaster. Jeff traveled to Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico in July, 1998 with his friend Wam Murray and a number of other Chester County scouts. During the four trip shakedown sessions, Jeff was elected the Crew Chief by the 12 scouts for their 10 day Philmont High Adventure Trip. They enjoyed miles of hiking, white water rafting and rock climbing.
Jeff is a junior at Conestoga High School and is a member of Marching Band, Symphonic Band and is a Band Manager. He plays Varsity Rugby for Conestoga and is a member of the stage crew. Jeff also enjoys roller hockey, basketball, and is an active member of Church of the Savior, Wayne PA. His Eagle Project involved tree trimming, landscaping and soil refurbishment on the church grounds where he was joined by 16 additional scouts and helpers to complete the project.
After graduation from high school in 2001, Jeff would like to attend college and then pursue a career in the military.
