The Court of Honor was
convened June 15, 1996 at 6:30 PM by J. B. Rettew III, President of the Board of Trustees
of Devon 50, Inc., and Devon 50 Eagle Scout #29.
Trevor Scott Maloney was born in Philadelphia on August 26, 1979. He has a brother, Carl, and a sister, Laura, and has lived in Phoenixville all his life. Trevor joined Pack 73 in second grade. He transferred to Devon 50 May, 1991, after receiving his Arrow of Light. Trevor has been active in the Washington Memorial Chapel Choir of Men and Boys and has served as Soloist and Head Chorister. He traveled to England with the choir in 1991 and 1994.
For his Eagle Project, Trevor chose the Bishop White Library at the Chapel. Trevor and his Scout crew cleaned and repaired the shelving as well as dusted, cleaned, and reconditioned books. Trevor set up a computer database, providing the first-ever catalog of the 1,500 books in the Library. The completed catalog was formally presented to the Rector of the Chapel the 10 a.m. service, June 16, 1996.
Trevor has attended summer camp at Camp Horseshoe or Camp Ware every year since second grade, except when the Choir took him to England. He also attended the 1993 Jamboree. Some of his favorite Devon 50 trips have been the caving expeditions and the 184-mile bike trip. Trevor treked to Philmont during the summer of 1996.
In his first year with Devon 50, Trevor received the Stilwell Award for his enthusiasm. He has been in the $1,000 Club every year and has also been Patrol Top Salesman. Trevor served as Hawk Patrol Leader, Bugler for Webelos Woods, and as QM and Scout Guide. He has earned the Den Chief Award. In 1995 Trevor was elected to the Order of the Arrow, and was inducted into Brotherhood this year. Trevor is VP of the Explorer Post.
Trevor is active in the Phantom Marching Band as Horn Line Captain, playing trumpet and baritone horn. In Jazz Band he plays trumpet and flugelhorn. Trevor performed in several shows and theater, including the lead in "Tom Sawyer." He also sings in the high school choir. Trevor has been chosen to attend this summer's Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week.
Trevor received his great-great-Uncle David's Eagle award from the 1930's during this ceremony.
