Oliver Richard Uberti - #216

Oliver Richard Uberti was born in Philadelphia on October 11, 1980. He has lived in Paoli, PA all his life, with his mother and brother, Justin.

Following in his brother's footsteps, Oliver joined Devon 50 in October 1991, wanting to experience the joys of scouting. He joined as member of Beaver patrol, under the leadership of patrol leader Tom Eybye. Learning from later patrol leaders John Burg, Dan Norton, and Gary Alloway, Oliver passed throught the ranks of scouting. During his scouting career Oliver held various positions of leadership. He was Den Chief of Pack 113, Den 2, Beaver patrol leader, and is currently Explorer Post secretary. Last June he achieved Brotherhood rank in the OA.

Some of Oliver's most memorable scouting experiences were the 1993 National Jamboree, the Adirondack High Adventure trip, climbing a 14er during the summer 1995 Colorado High Adventure trip, and numerous years of summer camp at Camp Horseshoe.

Oliver has attended Hillside Elementary and Valley Forge Middle Schools, and is currently enrolled at Conestoga High School. There, Oliver is actively involved in the Drumline of the Pioneer Marching Band. He is also vice president of his Sophomore Class. Besides attaining distinguished honors, he has been recognized for his leadership skills at Conestoga, and received the American Legion Award for his service at Valley Forge.

Oliver wants to stay in Devon 50, organizing trips for the Explorer Post. At Conestoga, he hopes to stay in the Marching Band and maintain his academics. After graduation from high school, Olvier plans to attend college in Boston, and pursue either a degree in Computer Science and Graphics, or Psychology.
