The Court of Honor was convened February 17, 1996 at 7:30 PM by J. B. Rettew III, member of the Executive Board of Chester County Council, President of the Board of Trustees of Devon 50, Inc., and Eagle Scout #29.

Rick was born on December 15, 1977 in Correopolis, Pa, outside of Pittsburgh. He moved to Paoli at age nine and joined Pack 113 in fourth grade. After earning the Arrow of Light, Rick joined Devon 50. He attended Camp Horseshoe for four years and worked as a waterfront counselor there for two years. He has also helped with cub day camp and been a Den Chief for Pack 113. Rick earned the Richardson Leadership award in 1991, the Thomas C. Stilwell Enthusiasm award in 1992, and the Daniel T. Kilcullen award in 1994. He has attended the Essex International Jamboree in England, the National Jamboree in Virginia, and traveled to Colorado last summer for the troop’s high adventure trip. This summer he plans to go to the Philmont high adventure base in New Mexico. Rick is a brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow and holds the position of OA correspondent with the troop. Next year Rick plans to attend the University of Delaware to study the Arts and Sciences. He hopes to have plenty of time to pursue his love of the outdoors.
