James M.S. Dunn

Feb. 25, 1995 - The Court of Honor was convened by J.B. Rettew III, member of the Executive Board of Chester County Council and President of the Board Trustees of Devon 50, Inc.. The charge was given by Bill Iorio, Council Commissioner.


James Marshall Sean Dunn


James Marshall Sean Dunn was born in Washington, D.C. on July 22, 1976. He lived in Arlington, Virginia for 3 years, then moved to Danville, PA in 1980. After 3 years, his family was relocated to Devon, PA where he presently resides. James started out his education at St. Monica School in Berwyn for 2 years then transferred to Devon Elementary. He also attended Tredyffrin-Easttown Jr. High School and Conestoga High School.

James first began scouting with Cub Pack 113 where he earned the Arrow of Light. In 1986 James joined Devon 50 in the Hawk Patrol under the leadership of B.J. Albertini. His leadership role began as a Den Chief for Pack 113, then assistant patrol leader and patrol leader of the Hawk Patrol. James then assumed the Senior Patrol Leader position for half a year.

James has participated in numerous events with Devon 50. He attended the National Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill, Packard High Adventure Base in Colorado, International Jamboree in Essex, England, and many "Mystery Trips" to the Submarine Base, Annapolis, Outer Banks of North Carolina, and to Assateague Island. He also attended several summer camps at Horseshoe.

James has received many honors in Devon 50 -- the Edwin M. Richardson plaque, Outstanding Patrol leader in 1990, Top Wreath Sales Leader in 1991, and led his patrol to first place at the Council First Aid Meet. James received his Silver Buckle award at Camp Horseshoe. James is also a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow.

James is presently taking classes and working. After December, James hopes to transfer to the University of New Mexico and study Humanities. James participated in several sports in high school, including cross country, wrestling, and rugby. But his favorite activity to do when he is not busy is to Hack.
