October 30, 1993 - The Court of Honor was convened by Bill Iorio, Council Commissioner. Receiving their Eagle ranks were John Burg, Tom Eybye, Matt McAloon and John Wyler.


Thomas (Tom) Christian Eybye


Tom was born in Bryn Mawr on April 4, 1976 and over the next eight years moved with his family to Wilmington, DE, New Canaan, CT, and Chatham, NJ. Tom became a Cub and then Webelos Scout in Chatham, and crossed the bridge to join Scout Troop 121, Morris-Sussex Area Council in 1987. In 1988 the Eybyes moved back to Pennsylvania to Berwyn, and Tom joined Devon 50 that Fall in the Beaver Patrol under Bill Lammer.

Tom enjoyed numerous activities while a Devon 50 Scout. He attended camp at the Horseshoe reservation four summers, and was awarded the Silver Buckle. He attended the 1989 National Jamboree at Camp A.P. Hill and, in 1992 traveled to England to the International Scout Jamboree in Essex. He participated in the Adirondack High Adventure trek and, in the summer of 1993 went to the Philmont Ranch in New Mexico with a contingent of Devon 50 scouts. As a scout and Explorer Tom enjoyed numerous other events: First Aid meets, C & O Bike-hike, mystery trips and campouts, caving, canoeing, and skiing.

Scouting provided Tom with many leadership opportunities. He was Den Chief for over a year, Assistant and then leader of the Beaver Patrol for over one-and-a-half years, and Assistant Senior Patrol leader since September, 1992. Tom was tapped for the Order of the Arrow in February, 1991 and became a Brotherhood member in the Spring of 1992. Tom is currently a Senior at Conestoga High School where he has participated in JV and Varsity wrestling. He enjoys tennis and biking as hobbies, and expects to attend college in the Fall of next year.
