Walter Morrison Jeffords IV (Morry)

Walter Morrison Jef fords IV (Morry) was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania on April 1, 1974. He attended the Benchmark School through eighth grade. The Jeffords moved frm West Chester to Berwyn in December, 1986 and Morry began to attend the Tredyffrin Easttown schools. Morry spent five weeks of one summer camping throughout the south west, managing to visit several national parks. The following year he experienced a four-week bike and camping tour through Nova Scotia. He vas very interested therefore, when his neighbor, Mark Waterstraat, suggested that he join Devon 50.

With Devon 50 Marry attended the National Jamboree at Fort A. P. Hill in Norfolk, Virginia. He has been on "Mystery Trips" to Annapolis, Maryland, The Outer Banks of North Carolina, Mystic, Connecticut and Assateague Island, Maryland. The highlight of course, was the two week trip to Philmont, New Mexico in 1990.

Morry was Patrol Leader of the Hawk Patrol and boasts 100% patrol participation at Camp Horseshoe that summer. He was also quartermaster for a year. Devon 50 certainly provided him with the outdoor activities which he enjoys!

Next fall. Marry will be a senior at Conestoga and anticipates college the following year. He is currently working at Gateway Pharmacy. Marry enjoys biking and skiing, but his main hobby is paintball. He has started a five-man team, The Nightcrawlers, which has had some success at local tournaments and is being sponsored by a company in Michigan. Morry attributes much of his success to Devon 50.
